Unlocking the Final Fantasy XI Samurai
November 2nd, 2008
Playing the samurai class isn’t the toughest thing to do, but a good FFXI samurai can be an asset to any group. However, not just any character can be a samurai. Before you even have access to this Final Fantasy XI job class, you need to reach level 30 with your character and perform a special quest. Here’s how to do it.
Once you’ve hit level 30, travel to Norg. The easiest way to get there is to take a FFXI chocobo from Kazham to the Yuthunga Jungle. Before you make the trip, you should make sure to pick up some Prism Powders and Silent Oils. Once you’re there, you’ll need to navigate through an area full of holes. You need to head to the hole nearest the waterfall in this area and fall through it.
You’ll find yourself in the Sea Serpent Grotto. Now, you should use those items in order to hide from the nasty enemies in this area. Once you sneak past them (just take a right at every turn), you’ll be in Norg. Seek out Jaucribaix. He’ll request you give him two items. Follow the instructions he gives you carefully. You may need to recruit a Final Fantasy XI group in order to get both of the items, as you’ll have to fight tough FFXI monsters.
Once you’ve gathered to two necessary items, Jaucribaix will tell you to return in 3 days. All you have to do now is wait. Three days later, you can now become a samurai. I hope this Final Fantasy XI guide was helpful. Good luck!
Location: Norg
Provider: Jaucribaix
Requirements: Must be level 30+
Item(s) Needed: Sacred Sprig, Sacred Branch, Oriental Steel, Bomb Steel
To begin the FFXI quest, head to Norg. Unless you’re a high level, it is vital you bring some Prism Powders and Silent Oils (or have a capable RDM/WHM casting Sneak and Invisible). To get to Norg, take a Final Fantasy XI Chocobo from Kazham into the Yuthunga Jungle. Travel south to the outpost, being very careful not to fall into the wrong hole. The hole that you need to fall through is closest to the waterfall.
Fall through and stick to your right, which will take you to FFXI Sea Serpent Grotto. Here is where you will need the buffs, as most of the enemys are aggresive. Always stay to your right. If you have to turn, go right. Eventually you will hit a stone gate, just open it and keep staying your right. When you see a path with arches above, you know you are close.
When you get to Norg, speak with Jaucribaix outside of Gilgamesh’s room (K-8). He will request two Final Fantasy XI items, a branch from a tree in a sacred place and iron fillings (from a bomb.) Talk to Ranemaud (near the back) to receive a Sacred Tree Sapling. Aeka is at the bottom of the stairs, talk to her to receive Old Iron from the East. Now you must head to the Konschtat Highlands and trade the Old Iron to a ??? at (D-8). But first you should pick up a hatchet or two. A Forger (bomb) will appear. Kill it (it is highly recommended that you have a party of at least 30+ to defear it) and it will drop the iron fillings. Then, you must head to the West side of The Sanctuary of Zi’Tah and use a hatchet on the huge tree’s ??? point. A Guardian Treant will appear. Kill it (with a party of 30+) and then again examine the ??? point to receive the branch.
Now, head back to Jaucribaix with these items. After you give them to him, he will tell you to return in three (Vana’diel) days. Once three days is up, talk to him again and you will recieve your first Great Katana “Mumeito” and the ability to become a Final Fantasy XI Samuriai!

Getting Quick Gil in Final Fantasy XI
October 27th, 2008
In the real world you’ve gotta have money, but in this game you’ve gotta have Final Fantasy XI gil. Scoring enough gil is absolutely vital, because no matter how awesome your skills are, you need money to upgrade your equipment and buy other items. Getting FFXI gil can be tough if you don’t know where to look, but here are a easy methods to gain tons of money.
Even as a low-level FFXI character, you can take advantage of the “Warp Quest” method. It takes a little while to get started, but once you get rolling you can rake in several thousand gil per hour. What you have to do is accumulate 1,000 Final Fantasy gil to buy an item called “slime oil.” Once you’ve got that, you need to seek out an NPC called “Unlucky Rat.” He hangs out in the Metal district of Bastok. He’ll trade you an item – a warp scroll – in return for the slime oil. The warp scroll is worth several thousand FFXI gil, so you can just resell it to get a great return on your investment. The only issue is that you have to do a few other low-level Final Fantasy XI quests in order to gain enough reputation so that the Unlucky Rat will talk to you. Still, it only takes a little while and it earns you a lot of cash.
For some other tips on how to make quick money, you should check out a Final Fantasy XI guide.

Do you need a FFXI Guide?
October 19th, 2008
One of the most important questions that FFXI players often ask themselves is whether or not they need a Final Fantasy XI guide. Some players might think that they can get by without one, but others might think that the only way they are going to beat some of those very difficult levels is to download a guide. This is really just a question of how much help you are willing to take in order to beat the game. For some players, it boils down to pride.
When thinking about whether or not a FFXI guide is right for you, you must consider what your strengths are in the game. There are lots and lots of players who are very good at most aspects of the game. They have strong skills and they are just missing that one little thing that can put them over the top. If this sounds like you, then a Final Fantasy guide might be the right thing for you. It could be the different between leveling really well and being stuck on one tough level.
If you are just learning the game and you don’t yet have a handle on some of the terminology, then downloading a FFXI guide probably won’t help you too much. You will probably find that you have to do some of the leg work in order for the guide to really give you an edge on some of the Final Fantasy XI leveling. Ultimately, this question boils down to your individual needs as a player, though.

Reasons to Use a Final Fantasy XI Guide
September 27th, 2008
If you have been struggling in Final Fantasy XI, then you have a couple of different options to pick you up off of the ground, including using a FFXI guide. There is a huge debate raging over whether or not players are better off going with a guide for this game. It is common knowledge that lots of other online games are really good with a nice guide, but is this one of them? In my opinion, this is a game where a Final Fantasy guide can do you a whole lot of good. I will address reasons why in this blog.
Know everything there is to know about different levels-
This is what every player is looking for, right? You want to know, above all else, everything that you can possibly know about every different level. That is absolutely key if you want to be a successful player. With a a FFXI guide, you can have that knowledge and so much more. When you get your hands on this knowledge, you will immediately know what it feels like to be in complete control of the game.
Cheats and other codes-
When you go with a FFXI guide, you are going to have access to lots of different cheats that you never would have had any other way. These Final Fantasy XI cheats can help you get your hands on currency, as well as help you learn how to take down other players. If you have seen some struggles, then you absolutely have to get a Final Fantasy guide to help you.

Why you should Use Powerleveling in FFXI
September 27th, 2008
If you are having trouble making your way up through the ranks in Final Fantasy XI, then you do have some options known as Final Fantasy XI powerleveling. That is the good news. Players don’t have to grind their way up through the ranks anymore. After watching players struggle and struggle to go up a few levels, some people have come to the rescue of these players. That’s why FFXI power leveling has become such a popular option. Here are a couple of reasons why you should use powerleveling to supplement your efforts in FFXI.
Made for the lazy player-
Final Fantasy Powerleveling is a process that is perfectly made for the lazy player. What if you want to look good among your friends, but you just don’t have the time or effort to play countless hours everyday? When that happens, FFXI power leveling is something that will certainly give you the reputation that you are looking for. It is not the perfect solution, but it is certainly viable.
Alleviate your frustration-
As you probably know, it can be really frustrating to sit around and not make any progress on something. This is especially true when it comes to video games. Why would you want to sit around and grind your teeth over something when a great solution exists? Why not let somebody who has the skill and experience take over? Why not give them an opportunity to make some hay on your FFXI leveling and get the job done? These are questions that you no longer have to ask yourself.

Top Three Attributes of the Final Fantasy XI Mithra Race
August 23rd, 2008
One of the newer races in this game is the Final Fantasy XI Mithra. While it has not yet become hugely popular, there are many reasons to consider playing as one. What they may lack in overall physical strength, they more than make up for it with their other abilities and attributes. Here are the top three attributes of the FFXI mithra race.
Agility – They may not be able to get right into the thick of battle, but the Final Fantasy XI mithra is incredibly agile. This means that you can get out of bad situations quickly and with a lot less damage to your FFXI character. This is a pretty fair trade off and with the right handling, you can keep your FFXI mithra safe even in the worse situations.
Dexterity – One of the Final Fantasy XI Mithra’s strong points is that they are so incredibly dexterous. This makes them well suited for many crafting professions as well as the class of thief. In fact, it is very hard to keep a FFXI mithra down and stopping them from thieving is hard to do.
Energy – The FFXI mithra race has more energy than the other races and when coupled with the above traits, that translates into a little powerhouse that is quite capable. This Final Fantasy race is very well suited to playing as a ranger, but only if you can keep them out of harm’s way. All in all, the thief is the best choice for this race, but their energy does give you a few more options.

The Best Features of the Final Fantasy XI Samurai
August 16th, 2008
Out of all of the jobs available in this game, one of the most coveted is the Final Fantasy XI samurai. This is a job that is only available to players once they get past level 30, but it is well worth the struggle to make it. There is only one other job that can compare with the abilities you’ll gain as a FFXI samurai and even that one really doesn’t come close. Let’s take a look at what makes this job so popular and why you should consider playing as one.
The Great Katana. Only the samurai can use this Final Fantasy XI weapon and there are so many benefits to it that it would be impossible to list them all. If you are sick of going up against opponents and being outmatched weapon wise, this is one of the easiest fixes. The Great Katana sword is incredibly useful and unmatched when it comes to dealing out damage.
Melee abilities. The FFXI samurai is best at melee fighting and this is very beneficial if you are a member of a party and looking to increase your overall worth. Their melee abilities allow the Final Fantasy XI samurai the ability to quickly rack up TP points while handily beating their opponents.
Capabilities against demons. Out of all of the jobs in this game, the FFXI samurai is probably the best at handling demons. This Final Fantasy XI job contains skills that no other jobs have that allow the samurai the chance to handily beat them.
